![]() ![]() so a game with cartoony weapons, maze-like prisons and facilities and high-ranked Nazis wielding single-handed miniguns and missile launchers is CANON? Are they forgetting Hitler DIED in that game? I did hear the whole lore/readable thing stating that Hitler was supposedly killed, only he made a recovery, but all this still fries my brain. This final part truly bamboozles me: I've heard that Machine Games considers Wolfenstein 3D of all games to be canon to their timeline. That honestly sounds weird to me that it's a separate canon yet only a tad few things from previous games have occured. Are the Nazis bringing it back or is this apparently the first time if Machine Games's Wolfenstein games truly are a new canon altogether?ģ) The Wolfenstein wiki recently started making separate articles for characters that both appeared in the MG games and games before them which further fuels the whole MG separate canon thing.įrom what someone told me, only a few moments from the previous games happened in the MG timeline, like the X-Labs incident and Caroline punching Hans (that begs the question: where did she if it wasn't around some area with Black Sun technology?), etc. It stars Carly Schroeder as Gracie Bowen, Dermot Mulroney as Bryan Bowen, Elisabeth Shue as Lindsay Bowen, Jesse Lee Soffer as Johnny Bowen, and Andrew Shue as Coach Owen Clark. BJ destroyed that project back in the 2009 game. Gracie is a 2007 American sports drama film directed by Davis Guggenheim. This confuses me for a few reasons.ġ) A couple of events from previous games were referenced: Caroline punching Hans Grosse in the face (2009) in New Order and BJ recalling his first encounter with the Super Soldiers back in Deathshead's X-Labs (RtCW) in Old Blood.Ģ) The upcoming "The Deeds of Captain Wilkins" DLC for New Colossus mentions the Black Sun. Wikipedia and the Wolfenstein wiki state that New Order is a sequel to Wolfenstein 2009, but other sources say otherwise and state that Machine Games's Wolfenstein games are part of a new timeline. I sometimes can't help but be interested in the lore/canon of certain franchises.Ĭlassic Canon: Spear of Destiny and Wolfenstein 3DĬurrent Canon: Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Wolfenstein 2009, The Old Blood, The New Order and The New Colossus ![]() This has been boggling my mind for a long time.
